A passionate, creative lead, with a diverse skill set within the fashion industry. From design to merchandising, to product development and marketing, I’ve been fortunate enough to be able to work in various departments throughout my career while being consistently innovative, staying up to speed with trends in the ever changing fast-paced Women’s, Men’s and Children’s markets. Responsible for bestselling designs in major chain stores across the United States and Internationally.  As a consultant I oversee the development and design for apparel design, brand identity, merchandising, sourcing and managing the production process from beginning to end.

Working with brand to help them branch out with overseas factories for expanding their business into new categories by providing them with my development and production knowledge.

  • Main liaison between the brand and factories 

  • Work with factories to develop new styles for brand

  • Negotiate pricing while maintaining their margin

  • Set up bookings for freight forwarder and monitored shipment through leaving factory to delivery

  • Created measurement guides, grade rules and tolerances for styles and managed fits comments through production

Utilized design and development skills to help set up a system and standard for the design, development and production departments to follow to allow the organization to adhere to deadlines with industry seasons. Execute the day-today operations between the departments.

  • Foster relationships with new factories for apparel & accessories

  • Met margin goals, negotiated costing and lead times with suppliers 

  • Produced measurement guides, grade rules and tolerances for styles 

  • Conduct and manage fits comments through production

  • Issued all production and samples PO’s to assigned vendors

  • Create and maintained the printable line plans, including SKU counts, colors, pricing, material, etc.

  • Responsible for the planning, forecasting and analysis of sales

  • Originated a buying plan for each season based on pre-bookings, web sales analysis and previous sales

Women’s Technical Moto Designer

Created a line of motorcycle gear and accessories by mixing a more fashion forward point of view with technical side of the brand. 

  • Worked with Creative Director’s brand direction for the two women’s lines for the direction they each needed to go follow

  • Designed the line with inspiration from on my vintage Moto background while mixing in with new trends

  • Constructed an entire apparel line of jacket, tops, and bottoms along with a accessories line of gloves and shoes 

  • Setup all technical packages for styles and art for product developer 


La Jolla GROUP

  Senior Designer /Juniors and KIDS

Irvine, CA 1/2008 to 1/2017

 Oversaw the Juniors/Kids Department’s day-to-day agenda and managed the department’s seasonal timeline while being head designer for each department. 

  • Researching trends and preparing inspiration for each season

  • Ensure SKU count is met for each season while making decisions based on previous season to guarantee there is a complete merchandised line.

  • Instrumental in doubling the Juniors business in the first three years and brought the business up to compete head-to-head with the Men’s business. Responsible for presenting lines at sales meeting, to owners, major buyers and reps from Tilly’s, Zumiez, Riders Compound (No Fear), Dillard’s and PacSun.

  • Consistently invent new ideas for the business to hit quarterly/yearly sales plans (Lil Maiden girls line, Lily Maiden and Friends, Metal Maidens Tattoo Collection, Collaborations, new brand design directive over the past year).

  • Create new seasonal styles across all categories that hit margin expectations while delivering brand promise and consumer expectations through the analysis of market influences: Design and fashion trends, sales data, sales rep’s and buyer’s input, and customer feedback.

  • Intern mentoring and development of assistant and associate designers to transition them to permanent positions and/or higher level positions.

  • Project Manger of Juniors Art Department and Special Projects dealing with both in-house and freelance graphic designers: Bringing design direction, to oversee concepts from start to finish, technical innovation with printables, body/silhouette choice from development to production phases and handovers. Worked with special projects (Collaborations, SMU’s, Events, etc.)

  • Worked with diverse range of fabrics, trims and details

  • Created seasonal introductions with detailed technical packages and matrixes for suppliers

  • Day to day interaction with pattern room to ensure timelines are met - development through production working with the tech designer to insure the correct block and specs are developed for each style to working with the patterns for certain garments. .

  • Responsible for communication with domestic and overseas vendors from development through final production.

  • Worked closely with the Design Director and the Marketing Department to create brand enhancing catalogs, as well as marketing and advertising strategies that included social and editorial media campaigns. 

  • Creative voice behind seasonal onsite/offsite photo shoots, working closely with models, photographers to create catalog visuals

  • Proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Lectra and Fullcircle with knowledge in InDesign.
